RESEARCH INTEREST

The oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) are important for metal air batteries and fuel cells but suffers from sluggish kinetics. Although noble metal catalysts like Pt, Ir, Ru exhibit excellent comprehensive performance to accelerate the ORR and OER, their high price, scarcity, weak stability and crossover effect hinder the widespread application.

In my research I will mainly focus on the development of novel, low cost electrocatalysts for both ORR and OER.
